Quran 7:8 says: On the Day of Judgement weight would be only Huq (Truth). A life of falsehood, no matter how successful it is, would have no weight. Good character, however, leads to Deen-e-Huq.

About the Book:

Muslim in Transit is my lifelong project. Though it was published in 2016, the killing, rape, abuse, and destruction of humanity were bothering me from my childhood. What bothers me the most is that we are doing all these in the name of religion. It does not matter what religion we belong to we all are destroying humanity. The first Hindu Muslim riot took place in Bihar and I was in the middle of it. I saw people killed like animals and I thought is that why we, the human beings are created for? I did not believe that.

I see the world is in big trouble, especially the Muslim world. The whole world is full of violence, lie, cheat, and fake news. Trust is almost gone.  Muslims are suffering all over the place. I think every one of us know that we need to be good Muslim, but the real problem is that all of us believe I am good Muslim but the rest of us are not. I see the problem differently.

Nobody can become a doctor, engineer, scientist, lawyer, artist, or whatever without studying and spending years and years in learning the trade. How can we become a good Muslim without understanding Islam, Deen-e-Huq and its boundaries? And how can we understand Deen-e-Huq and its boundaries without knowing well Quran and Sunnah? There is hardly a small percentage of Muslims who read the Quran and among them, there is an even smaller percentage of people who understand the Quran.

I was raised in a big city, in a thickly Muslim populated area. I noticed they were very good Muslims, they ran to the Masjid to pray, and while they never missed a single prayer but they always cheated their customers. I wondered what kind of Muslims they were. I felt they followed Islam without its Soul. I did not know what the Soul of Islam is, but I wanted to know.

You may be wondering where I am going, why I am telling you all this and what this story has to do with Muslim in Transit. Well ! to make the long story short, I grew up with a burning desire, not just to help my family members, not just the community, not just the Ummah, but entire mankind.

I was born in a Muslim family, but I was not. I believed in one and only one God but did not know how to read the Quran or even how to offer prayer. Therefore, I was looking for a secular solution to help mankind. My naive mind thought that I should first try to help Muslims, especially Indian Muslims. But I was secular-minded and I loved everybody, regardless of their faith, religion, nationality, and whatsoever. Therefore, I got involved in Social work, organized and chaired dozens of organizations, but after few years of hard work, I realized that as long as we are full of hate, greed, and arrogance no social work will help the humanity: we will destroy more than we will build. This realization motivated me to read religious books, especially the Quran. My life events – my falls and frustrations helped me to understand the Message of Quran and Sunnah and soon I realized that true success is securing a piece of Heaven and the moment I started working to secure a piece of Heaven, I achieved success in this world. My life was peaceful, and now I am happy, content, and complete.

I also learned that no human being is born with single sperm, it takes two to come into existence. If we can’t even exist without the help of other then how can we progress and succeed in this life unless we work, help, and cooperate with each other. How can we not realize that we can’t exist even for one moment without the help of other? We are dependent on others for food, education, clothes, and for everything else. Is it not the TRUTH?

Thus, Deen-e-Huq is Deen that God chose for us and commanded us to work together for the betterment of the humanity.

This is the message of Quran, this is the message I am trying to remind my readers, this is the message my book, Muslim in Transit, original, revised and upcoming are trying to deliver to my readers so that we can live happily in this life as well as hereafter. Understanding and living in accordance to Deen-e-Huq is the missing Soul of Islam.

Alhamdolillah, finally, I found the soul of Islam, the soul which I was trying to find out since my childhood, when I saw good practicing Muslims cheating their customers. Islam is not just doing rituals, but the soul of Islam is understanding what is Deen-e-Huq (Ref. Quran 9:122).

Muslim in Transit invites the believers not only to the journey Quran takes us to but also to pay attention and keep eyes on the destination (Goal)  as well as on the rough road the believers have to overcome to reach their destination.
